How long is the Servsafe Food Safety Manager class?  Do I take the exam on the same day?

Our one day class is 6 hours in length (including the exam). The one day class includes training and proctoring the Servsafe Food Safety Manager Exam.


I need to be certified right away, can you certify me today or tomorrow?

Yes, we have an online exam option where you can be certified by that afternoon or the very next day.  When you register just select "online exam" under exam format.  If you live in Orange County you can schedule to take the exam at our main office Monday-Friday during business hours.  Click here to make an appointment.

I have more than one location do I need a certification for each one?

Yes, every location must each have one different certified owner or manager.


Do I have to take the training and exam or can I just show up for the exam only?

Yes, you may just take the exam only, classroom instruction is not required however we highly encourage you to take both since new laws and food safety updates are being introduced each year.


What happens if I take the class and I'm dissatisfied with the training can I get a refund?

Yes, If you have completed the training and you were unhappy with the quality of the class you may receive a refund.  Please make sure you tell your instructor before you take the exam since we cannot issue refunds after the exam has been taken.


Do you offer the instructor exam?

Yes we do, the price is a little higher than the regular exam at $189.  You can make that selection when you register online.


After I am ServSafe certified can I train my employees?

Yes, and we encourage you to.  This certification does not however allow you to certify them as ServSafe Food Safety managers.  It only allows you to provide them knowledge on food safety.  We also offer an employee level food safety training program that satisfies the Food Handler requirement.


How long does my certification last?

The ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification lasts 5 years in the state of California. 


Can I study at home before I come to the class?

Yes, we provide FREE study materials that are emailed to you upon registration.  We highly recommend you spend time reviewing this study guide before you arrive on your training date.


What happens if I can't make it to a class I've pre-registered for?

We understand that things happen and if you are unable to attend your course please let us know and we can reschedule you for another date.  We do require that you attend a class within 3 months of your initial class date and there is $25 charge for each reschedule. 


Is there a lunch break and do you provide lunch?

Yes we provide a 30 minute lunch break around noon for the open classes.  In locations where host the class at a restaurant lunch is generally provided, however at our hotel locations lunch is not provided.


What happens if I don't pass the test?

If you don't pass the test with a 75% or higher then you are welcome to come back and sit in as many classes as you like until you pass.  We only charge a retesting fee to take the exam again which is $75.


When I register online will I receive a confirmation or receipt for signing up?

Yes, almost immediately you will receive a confirmation email with a link to download your complimentary study materials.  Depending on the way you chose to pay, you will receive either an invoice or sales receipt within 24 business hours.


What do I need to bring with me to the class on the day?

All you need to bring is a picture ID and a number 2 pencil.  We provide in class note guides, the ServSafe exam and scantr
on.
